The restoration of old maps from schools is a common work in our restoration workshop. These graphic objects are usually linen mounted onto fabric and fitted with wooden slats for rolling in the classroom . In our case it is a print from 1906 with many flaws and a very fragile, brittle and acidic paper. In restoration process, after moistening the map the fragments were arranged, the paper deacidified, consolidated and laminated with a mineral colored handmade paper.
